OUR PHILOSOPHY
There are some simple guidelines to follow when looking for a system that provides musical satisfaction:
Only a specialist retailer who is completely geared to demonstrating, selling and correctly installing hifi can possibly provide you with the level of reproduction you need. Correct specification of partnering equipment, speaker and interconnect cables, set up and siting of the gear is not an ability evenly distributed in this industry, and many people waste their money on hifi without actually achieving a musical result.

Often, a system has been cobbled together on the premise that “I have a ‘five star’ CD player, amp, speakers and cables and have spent thousands - it must be a good one.” Unfortunately nothing could be further from the truth. Usually that system will certainly have ‘great bass extension’ or ‘great detail retrieval’ or display other ‘hifi-isms’ yet be utterly boring and incapable of playing a tune.
The concept of system synergy can not be overemphasised.
Nor can the simple concept of hierarchy (garbage in, garbage out), violated by shops throughout the industry on a daily basis.
Every system starts with the source component. The CD and turntable define the absolute potential of your system as they are the first to deal with the recording quality embedded on the disc. The amplifier comes next. Obviously a poor amplifier will make nonsense of an awesome CD player, but the fact is no matter how good an amplifier it is, it cannot reproduce what has not come before it. Speakers come last. They are the slave of the amplifier and once again, no matter how good they may be, they can not improve what has not come before them.
The aim of a good system is to allow you to respond to the music without the system getting in the way. You should have fun and trust your ears. WHAT SOUNDS BETTER IS BETTER.
